A distinguished barrister, Hugh has also been a solicitor and partner in one of the City of London’s largest international law firms. As well as advising industry, governments and financial communities at the highest levels as a regulatory and commercial lawyer, he is experienced in business outside the legal profession as an entrepreneur and company director.
Hugh has a degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and was called to the Bar in 1975. He is member of the Regulatory Evaluation Group of the Adam Smith Institute, a leading developer of economic and social policies.
